Should I Reload or Relaunch?

Usually, particularly with more modern browsers, all you need to do after enabling javascript is to 'reload' (or 'refresh') the page. Try that first.

Didn’t work?
Don’t worry, some browsers (old ones, usually) will require that you close all of its windows (Macintosh: ‘Quit’ the browser application) and then relaunch the browser for the change to take effect.
It’s a pain, but that's old browsers for you. Maybe it’s time to upgrade.

Is Java the same as Javascript?

No. Javascript lets web browers perform useful functions such as clever redirections and button rollovers. Java is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems, and although it also appears on the web it is used to create self-contained applications such as games and other more useful things.

In simple terms: Sites that require javascript will not necessarily require Java. (This site does not require Java).

There is usuallly no harm in enabling both, in fact it is generally fairly advantageous to do so; disabling javascript tend to prevent a lot of modern web sites from working properly. Disabling Java will also prevent some sites form working, but less sites are built using Java.
